We invite all Indigenous, First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students interested in pursuing careers in architecture and engineering to apply.

The following will guide your application process:

Do you identify as an Indigenous, First Nations, Inuit, or Métis persons from Canada with a desire to pursue a career in the Architecture and Engineering industry?

Are you enrolled or have you applied for the 2025/2026 post secondary school year?

If this resonates with your journey please provide the following items with your response to our invitation:

Please send a single PDF with the following documents in this order.

1. Personal Information.

  • We require all applicants to include the following information: full name, preferred name (if different), current year of study, and the school you are currently attending or plan to attend during the 2025–2026 academic year.

2. A personal statement regarding how this award or mentorship opportunity will support you and your future goals in architecture or engineering.

  • (Recommended 250 to 1000 words)

3. Two References - 1 community based and 1 Academic.

  • (If you are not currently enrolled in an architecture or engineering program, the academic reference should attest to your future aspirations in either field)

4. Proof of Enrollment or Acceptance Letter.

All responses will be reviewed on the following:

  • Character

  • Future Goals

  • Financial Need

Who is eligible for this award?

Any Indigenous, First Nations, Inuit, or Métis persons from Canada with a desire to pursue a career in the Architecture and Engineering industry.

 

What is the award?

One $5,000 award will be issued annually to one applicant. All applicants will have the opportunity to meet with mentors of the fund to discuss their education and career goals.

 

What do i need to apply with?

  • Required contact information

  • A personal statement on your dream for your future within the architecture and engineering industry. Please share what award will mean in helping you on your journey (Recommended 250 to 1000 words)

  • 2 letters of reference

    • 1 Community or Personal Reference

    • 1 Academic Reference (for example a teacher or advisor)

  • Confirmation of enrollment or proof of application to a Post-Secondary school

Please know you do not need to be currently enrolled in programs or schooling related to architecture or engineering.

  • If you are not currently enrolled in an architecture or engineering program, please have your academic reference speak to your future journey within the industry

When is the deadline?

Responses must be submitted by September 30th, 2025, with funds being released the end of January 2026.

 

How do I submit my application?

The application process will open on August 18th, 2025. Applications will be accepted through Google Form or email.
